Rapper Roddy Ricch arrested before a concert at the music festival

QUEENS (WPIX) – Police arrested rapper Roddy Ricch on Saturday ahead of his scheduled performance at The Governors Ball music festival in New York City.

The 23-year-old rapper, real name Rodrick Moore, was arrested in a car near Citi Field, police said. The facility’s private security told officers they saw a gun in the vehicle.

Moore was arrested with Michael Figueroa, 46, and Carlos Collins, 57, at approximately 6:40 p.m. Police recovered a loaded firearm with nine cartridges, as well as a large capacity magazine.

Roddy Ricch was scheduled to perform on Saturday as is part of the music festival programbut his the show was canceled.

The Governors Ball said on Twitter: “Unfortunately Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.” The headliner on Saturday night was Halsey.

Moore was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a weapon as well as possession of a large capacity ammunition feeder and unlawful possession of an ammunition feeder.

Figueroa was arrested on five counts of criminal possession of a weapon with possession of a large capacity ammunition feeder and unlawful possession of an ammunition feeder. Collins was arrested on four counts of criminal possession of a weapon with possession of a large capacity ammunition feeder and unlawful possession of an ammunition feeder
