Frazer Associate Pastor Ken Roach said the community is invited to have a worship experience with one of America’s most talented Christian musicians.
“We want people who come to a concert in Frazer to have an encounter with God, not just enjoy the music,” Roach said. “Kari Jobe is definitely that kind of worship leader. She has an incredible talent, but also a deep love for Christ and an ability to help people come into the presence of the Lord.
Jobe and Frazer’s team are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will adapt to room capacity as needed and take other precautions depending on the situation at the time of the concert and in accordance with any government health mandate.
Roach said Frazer was delighted to offer a night in central Alabama with Jobe and Carnes, whom Jobe met and married while leading worship at a church in Texas.
“For those who do not know her, Kari Jobe is not only an excellent singer, but she is also a prominent songwriter who has written many songs sung today by congregations across the country and even in the world, ”he said. noted. “Songs like ‘Revelation Song’ and ‘Holy Spirit’ are likely to become the ‘hymns’ that will stand the test of time to be sung by future generations.”
Jobe’s current tour is called “The Blessing USA Tour”, due to the featured song “The Blessing”, which Jobe co-wrote. The song has become a cultural phenomenon in itself, Roach said.
“Based on an ancient priestly blessing found in the Hebrew scriptures, the song expresses God’s goodness and his desire to bring blessing to everyone. During the pandemic, virtual choirs used Zoom to come together across racial, ethnic and denominational lines of all types to sing the song together in their cities and regions, ”he said. “Although the words are simple, the impact has been profound.”
Carnes himself is an accomplished songwriter of popular songs such as “Run to the Father”.
Jobe has won six GMA Dove Awards and has been nominated for two Grammys and a Billboard Music Award. Raised in Texas, she frequently publishes songs in Spanish and English and has won awards for albums in Spanish. Carnes was also nominated for a Grammy.
