Trim singer/songwriter and songwriter Siobhan McAleese is set to release her first original nature-inspired composition, “Just Breathe,” which celebrates “resilience in a world that can take over,” and was inspired by bog walks in Jamestown and Girley.
“‘Just Breathe’ was born out of bog walks and ‘taking stock’ moments,” says Siobhán, who is releasing the original work on September 30, 2022 across all major platforms.
“My classical piano background really shined with this composition, and I’m very proud of it.”
Kells native Siobhán describes ‘Just Breathe’ as a moment in time for you to stop in a world that can travel millions of miles an hour.
“’Just Breath’ is a piece that can bring solstice and calm when you listen to it. It was born from this place, so the melody came to life the moment I sat on my ivory Kawai keys.
“It was a pleasure to write and it usually took me out after a walk in my local bog!” In September 2021, Siobhán starred in her first ‘live performance film’ curated and produced by SoFFt Productions where Siobhán performed ‘Just Breathe’.
This live performance film celebrated the Autumn Equinox in Loughcrew Cairns and Estsate, and featured other well-known artists based in Meath.
Siobhán produced a music video to accompany this soothing piano melody, celebrating scenes from nature throughout. “Just Breathe” was produced by Martin Quinn at Jam Studios just outside Kells.
