On February 15, Big Hit Music announced that BTS’ V had just tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The label posted the announcement on Weverse. Big Hit Music’s announcement revealed that V has seen Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook in person recently, but the other BTS members have tested negative for coronavirus since V was diagnosed.
BTS’s V tested positive for coronavirus
Big Hit Music posted a new announcement on Weverse on February 15. In Weverse’s post, the company shared with BTS fans that V tested positive for coronavirus after experiencing “mild” symptoms.
The beginning of the announcement reads as follows:
This is BIGHIT MUSIC.
We would like to provide you with some information regarding the health of member BTS V.
V went to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon the 15th after feeling a slight sore throat and took the PCR test. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 tonight.

The BTS singer is resting “at home”
In the Weverse post, Big Hit Music assured ARMY that V is vaccinated against the coronavirus and has no serious symptoms. For now, the BTS singer is resting “at home.”
“V has completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and has no extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat. He is currently undergoing treatment at home pending further guidance from health authorities,” Big Hit Music wrote on Weverse.
V recently saw the members of BTS
According to Big Hit Music, V recently saw Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook in person on February 12. However, the members have so far tested negative for coronavirus since seeing V.

Big Hit Music wrote in Weverse’s statement:
“There was contact with the other members on Saturday the 12th, but everyone wore a mask, and there was no close contact. None of the BTS members other than V have any symptoms, and everything the world received negative results from preventive self-tests.
The company places the health of artists at the top of its priorities and we will do everything we can to help V recover quickly. We will also cooperate diligently with requests and directives from health authorities.
V is the fifth BTS member to test positive for coronavirus in the past few months. Jin, Suga and RM tested positive in December 2021 and recovered in early January. Jimin tested positive and recovered earlier in February.
In March, the septet should present Permission to dance on stage – Seoul gigs. BTS is also expected to release a new album in 2022.
