First presented in 2012, the GM Overdrive Award is a recognition reserved for suppliers who demonstrate outstanding achievement in key areas of GM’s Global Purchasing and Supply Chain organization, including sustainable value chains, total cost and profitability of the business, safety, launch excellence, innovation acceleration and relationship development.
GM also recognized 122 of its top suppliers from 16 countries for their performance in calendar year 2020 as part of the Supplier of the Year awards. The annual awards recognize global suppliers who distinguish themselves by exceeding GM’s requirements, in turn providing GM customers with innovative technologies and some of the highest quality in the automotive industry.
