Fall has been with us for a while now, but it’s never too late to put together a playlist of songs that remind us of that windy and colorful season. In addition, a wave of various emotions seems to accompany this time of year. Thankfully, K-pop has a bit of it all, including songs that epitomize fall through their narrative.
That being said, here are seven K-pop songs that sound like fall.
1.10cm – “October rain”
Even though October has just passed away, the message of this song is still relevant today. 10cm describes the changes that occur over time and how each person expresses different emotions in response. Between wind and rain, this one is an excellent nod to the current season!
2. EXO-CBX – “Rhythm after summer”
This flirtatious jam is perfect for welcoming autumn, as EXO says so melodiously. Couples old or new can adopt “Rythm After Summer” as their couples song, where they can use it to shower their partners with love and support as they say goodbye to the hot season.
3. AKMU – “Time and dead leaves”
Sometimes fall is that time of year when people get nostalgic and walk up memory lane. Lee Suhyun and Lee Chanhyuk take us down this path in this sentimental ballad where they channel the landscapes of the season in their thoughtful words.
4. IU – “Autumn morning”
Let IU guide you through this season throughout his lyrics with all the emotions that come with it. The singer vividly describes the weather as well as what a typical day looks like, from morning routine to outdoor activities. This trail is basically a step-by-step guide for fall!
5. Davichi – “Autumn Night”
On a slightly wistful note, Davichi’s look at fall is a farewell to a former lover. The heavy lyrics bring a certain sense of peace to his listeners as they can find solace in this breaking story and maybe mend their hearts.
6. K.Will – “Hello fall”
It seems that autumn is strongly rooted in emotions. K.Will remembers his long lost love and yearns for the days when they were madly in love. The lyrics that portray her wish to be reconciled with her ex can resonate with a lot of people who might feel the same way.
7. BTS – “Autumn / Fallen leaves”
This one goes to all the fallen love stories that didn’t make it through the fall. BTS gets deep and raw in this heartbreaking song about hanging on to a love interest that’s no longer in the picture.
